Shamanic Rites and Rituals
Rituals are a wonderful way to assist and uplift your healing, transformation, and your new beginnings (New job, new relationship, new home, etc.).
A ritual is a sacred pause, a moment of awareness and intention that honors the journey from one chapter to the next. A ritual can provide powerful transformation and inner healing.
Rites of the Munay Ki
Rooted in ancient shamanic traditions of Peru, these rites are designed to mend deep personal wounds, release karmic weights, open inner senses, and forge a "person of wisdom and power" bound by no fear.
Where It Comes From
The Munay-Ki rites descend from nine sacred rites and initiations, carried for generations through the hands and hearts of Q'ero medicine people as sacred steps along their training around the medicine wheel. Much of this lineage was gifted to Dr. Alberto Villoldo by Don Manuel Quispe, a revered Q'ero elder and wisdomkeeper, who later opened the way for these rites to travel beyond the traditional path — so that all who felt the call could receive them.
What the Rites Are
The Munay-Ki is a living current of ten energetic transmissions — rites of initiation into wisdom and personal power, offered to help heal the ancestral and karmic wounds we carry from the past. Each rite passes from teacher to student in an unbroken thread stretching back through time, so that to receive one is to be woven into a living lineage of wisdom keepers — those who came before, still walking beside us.
The Despacho
A Despacho is a ceremonial offering that can shift and restore energy and help to bring you back into harmony and balance with yourself, your life, and this Earth. The purpose varies, but common forms include:
- Aya Despacho (Loss & Grieving): A sacred Andean ceremony using prayer and symbolic offerings to honor and help ease a loved one's passing and bring closure and peace to those left grieving.
- Ayni Despacho (Right Relationship): A traditional Andean offering ceremony that restores ayni — sacred reciprocity — bringing balance back into your life and right relationship with yourself, others, and the natural world.
- Purification Despacho (Cleansing & Release): A ceremonial offering used to cleanse and release stagnant or unwanted energy to the earth for composting, clearing the way for renewed balance and clarity.
- Waters Despacho (Blessing & Gratitude): A ceremonial offering given to honor the waters — rivers, lakes, or the sea — as a prayer of gratitude and a request for their continued life-giving blessing.
Fire Ritual
The Shamanic Fire Ritual is a sacred ceremony of rapid transformation, utilizing the power of fire to instantly consume and compost old stories, blocks, and heavy energies. By giving our burdens over to the spirit of the fire, we create an immediate energetic opening to invite in new intentions, clarity, and rebirth. This intentional pause allows you to honor your growth and step untethered onto your next chapter.
